We spend money in buying soft drinks which not only is a waste of money but also has adverse side-effects on our precious health. So if we have to quench our thirst then why not drink something healthy to also get a number of health benefits. One such super healthy recipe is Amla Juice or Gooseberry juice.
To be honest, at my home, this healthy Amla juice is part of our routine during Amla or gooseberry season. So I thought to share this Amla juice recipe with you via FoodQuench. So that we all know how super healthy this simple fruit is and how you can make a healthy juice using Amla or Gooseberry.
Amla (Gooseberry) is a super fruit and I hope most of you would agree if you know health benefits of eating Amla. Amla is available mostly during winter and it's good to consume it daily if one can. Amla can be consumed in any form as per one's choice like Amla Juice, Amla Murabba, Amla Pickle or in Amla Candy form and the best option which I also like is to eat raw Amla or gooseberry with some salt because of its tangy taste.
Here today, I am going to share a recipe of Amla Juice or Gooseberry Juice which everyone must have for many health benefits because Amla is rich in Vitamin C. Gooseberry also has plenty of other minerals and nutrients like calcium, iron, fibre, and many more. Amla also contains antioxidants which helps to cleanse our body by detoxifying it. And guess what, it will also quench your thirst ! - so avoid those soft drinks.
Other than to quench the thirst, Amla or gooseberry's health benefits is a huge list. However, I would specify some of the important benefits, which are:
One of the important health benefit of Amla is that it controls blood sugar level. So it can also help to control your diabetes by controlling blood sugar levels. But make sure you always consult with your physician for your regular diabetes medication and don't stop taking your medications.

I have used around 1 kg of Amla in this recipe which will yield around 1 litre of Amla Juice so that I can store it and consume later, you can adjust the quantity of Amla as you need. Now let's get into preparing Amla juice for health benefits.

Rinse all amla well.
Cut all amla or gooseberry as you prefer.
Transfer to a grinding jar.
Add half cup water (one batch) for smooth blending and grind.
Perfect fine amla puree is ready.
Place a nylon cloth on top of a vessel and transfer Amla puree to it. Make a pouch (potli) bag by grabbing ends of the cloth together.
Squeeze out all juice and repeat the steps for all batches of Amla puree.
Amla Juice is ready.
