Amla Murabba – A Sweet Pickle Recipe with Medicinal Benefits

Amla Murabba

Amla (Gooseberry) has lots of health benefits, it's a seasonal fruit and we get best quality Amla just for few months (mostly January and February) during winter. It's very common to get cold, cough and viral infection during winter, rainy season and Amla helps to deal with such cases by boosting our immunity.

Amla is packed with vitamin and nutrients. It is rich source of Vitamin C and a very important ingredient in Traditional Indian Ayurvedic Medicines. Amla is also used in Chyawanprash (an ayurvedic dietary supplement). People store it in different forms like Amla Supari (Amla salted candy), Amla powder, Amla juice, Sweet Amla Candy, Amla Murabba and many more as it is season based fruit and we don't get fresh gooseberry all around the year.
