I am not sure if people across all Indian states are aware about this Peanuts Chutney Recipe. I have mostly seen that Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka are few states which make use of peanuts for a lot of different varieties of chutneys and in other main course recipes too.

Peanuts or groundnuts are nutritious, they are rich in protein compared to other nuts, are one of the good source of plant based protein and also suitable for Vegans. Peanuts are good source of fibre, potassium and magnesium too.

Peanut is also known by different names as groundnuts, goober, pindar or monkey nut in different places across the world. In India and most of the asian countries, it is known as peanut or groundnut. Whereas in the US, it is called as goober or pindar and in the UK it is known as monkey nut.

This Peanuts Chutney recipe goes very well with Dhokla, Parathas, Sandwich, Patra, Muthiya, Sabudana Vada or even any type of pan cakes, dosa, idli, paddu etc. It suits almost all varieties of Indian snacks especially, you just name it.

You can have this Peanuts chutney recipe on fasting days as well. There is no ginger, garlic or onion used in this recipe. If you don’t eat coriander on fasting days, you can just skip adding coriander. It will taste awesome without coriander as well. I like the green color in chutney so I prefer adding coriander whenever I make it.

I have used 4 chilies. But, you can use less if you prefer less spicy food.
